Senior Infrastructure Architect

We are looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Architect to drive innovation, ensure security, and shape the future of our infrastructure.

About the role

In this role, you will contribute to the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Aptic’s infrastructure.

Your work will cover all layers and components, including physical servers, virtual environments, networking, storage, cloud solutions, and operating systems. You'll play a key role in ensuring that our infrastructure meets the highest standards of security, compliance, performance, and scalability.

This position is critical for maintaining business-critical systems that require high availability and robustness, and you'll be working in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment that demands expertise and innovation.

You can be located either in Skövde, Stockholm or the Hague. You will be part of our IT-team and report to Head of IT.

Key responsibilities

As a Senior Infrastructure Architect, you will manage our infrastructure architecture and improvement initiatives. Your role will include developing and maintaining a technology roadmap that aligns with both business goals and emerging industry trends. You'll be involved in planning, installing, configuring, and maintaining infrastructure components to meet security, performance, and scalability needs.

Your responsibilities include:

• Design and implement monitoring and alerting systems that proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact business operations.
• Contribute to our backup and recovery operations, ensuring business continuity and minimizing data loss.
• Research and implement emerging technologies like automation, virtualization, and containerization to enhance our infrastructure.
• Architect and oversee the implementation of cloud and hybrid infrastructure, leveraging services.
• Maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures.
• Design processes for managing cryptographic materials to ensure data integrity and security.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Qualifications & Experience

We are looking for someone with experience in infrastructure architecture, systems engineering, or related roles, particularly in SaaS environments within FinTech or financial services.

You should have hands-on experience from the Microsoft platform (Microsoft on-prem, Azure, Windows server, Active directory).

Experience from working with Dell networking, Fortinet, Hyper-V, Veeam, and similar is an advantage.
